Assistant Accountant | Construction | CBD | Permanent Role

Reporting to the Finance Manager you will be tasked with:
  • Preparation and calculation of monthly and quarterly taxation obligations
  • Assisting with annual accounting and taxation matters (Audit, Financial Reporting, Income Tax Return) including preparation of the annual FBT paperwork;
  • Period end accounting including monthly reporting to the Senior Management Team;
  • Payroll processing and general employee administration including processing of timesheet information and project allocations as required;
  • Acting as backup to the accounts payable team when needed;
  • Issuing progress claim invoices, managing accounts receivable and assisting project teams in resolving issues with progress claims;
  • Assisting with systems queries form project teams;
  • Other/ Ad-hoc duties as required.
The ideal candidate will have two years’ experience in a similar role, you will also have experience in a construction business ideally using an industry-specific ERP tool. You must be able to demonstrate intermediate excel skills and excellent communication skills.
