Corporate Triathlon

After spending Friday over-indulging on food and wine, the SustainAbility team burned some of it off in the BRW corporate triathlon held on Sunday 29th April in the botanical gardens. We’d lined up 3 teams of 3 representing IT, accounting commerce and financial services and everyone put in a fine effort to get up at 5am to attempt the 400m swim in the harbour followed by an 8km bike ride and 4km run. Although the accounting & finance crew will bemoan injuries and untimely cases of cramp 100m into the swim…IT deservedly took line honours by being the only team to get all 3 over the line in every event….bring on the city to surf when we can lock horns again!

Sustainable seaplane adventures…

As reward for exceeding budget in what was a tough opening quarter to 2012, we flew the team up by seaplane to Peats Bite on the Hawkesbury river, a stunning location only accessible by boat or plane. We enjoyed a sumptuous 5 course degustation lunch washed down with plenty of beer, champers and pinot noir…..all good preparation for our BRW triathlon 2 days later!

BRW Fast Starters 2012

We are delighted to have been listed again in BRW’s Fast Starters list for 2012 as the 33rd fastest growing business established in Australia since 2007, building on our 2011 listing at #57 with 116% year on year growth in turnover.

Market conditions have been challenging at times since we started SustainAbility in 2008 and we could not have grown the business through this turbulent time without the support of our valued clients, candidates, contractors, staff, suppliers and partners. We look forward to celebrating with many of you at our annual drinks night on June 7th; details to follow.

Sydney to Gong ride

Earlier this month, team SustainAbility did the 90km Sydney to Gong ride. It was a great day and everyone made it to the finish line, despite a few punctured tyres. We also raised $4,005 for a great cause, MS Australia.

Xmas in July – Blue Mountains

It was that time of year again….Christmas in July! and what better way to celebrate the festivities than a well deserved break to the Blue Mountains with Team SustainAbility!

The weekend kicked off with a our very own Amazing Race! With twists and turns at every corner the competition was at its all time high. Team Yellow, Orange & Blue were geared up for the challenges ahead….

The day was packed with fun filled activities…..

with Team Yellow claiming victory on the day!

SMH Half Marathon – Fundraising for Breast Cancer

In the early hours of a cold crisp morning on Sunday 15^th May, Roopa was amongst 10,905 participants that took part in the 21km SMH Half Marathon!

This was no ordinary run! Team SustainAbility sponsored Roopa to run in aid of Breast Cancer Network Australia. SustainAbility generously pledged to double the final amount that was fundraised on the day of the run. The grand total came to $3,230.00!

More than $700,00 was raised for Australian charity organisations at this year’s half marathon. A BIG thank you to all who donated and for supporting such a fantastic cause.
