Director – Technology Leadership / Executive Search
After graduating with a Bachelor of Law Peter began his recruitment career with McGregor Boyall Associates in 1997, specialising in sourcing IT professionals for clients working in the London and Frankfurt financial markets.
He relocated to Australia in 1999, managing several high-profile accounts for Candle IT, including Westpac. During his time as Candle’s general manager, NSW, the business experienced its’ three most profitable years of growth. Peter established SustainAbility Consulting with Martin O’Donnell in 2008.
Director – Executive Search Technology
After a career in Urban Architecture in the UK Edward moved to Australia in 2005, reinventing himself in IT recruitment.
Joining the Interpro Group he managed the wealth and trading divisions of the Commonwealth Bank and became the number one IT provider across the bank.
The opportunity arose to move within the group to TRA Global to build a niche vertical market team; from here he continued to grow as the top-billing consultant, before taking P&L and management responsibility for the TRA team in Australia.
Director – Technology & Business Intelligence
As a highly motivated sales leader, Ben brings a wealth of knowledge spanning almost 20 years in the Sydney IT recruitment market.
Ben has held numerous roles from consultant to key account manager and sales manager. He has recruited, managed and led teams, as well as personally kept his finger on the pulse in the market, always maintaining direct client relationships with a focus on long term partnerships.
Ben’s success is demonstrable through his loyal client base and tenure of industry relationships. In addition to his current sales leadership responsibilities, Ben sits on the board of Sustain Health in an advisory capacity.

After graduating with a First-Class Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Tayler started her career with West Lancs Borough Council co-ordinating; Local Elections, the EU Referendum and fund raising events for the Mayor of West Lancs. After relocating to Sydney, Tayler joined the SustainAbility team to pursue her interest for contemporary technology and building long-lasting relationships with people.
Business & Test Analyst
After visiting ¼ of our planet and graduating from 4 different unis around the world with a Master in International Business (Sunshine Coast University, QLD, Australia), Master in International Business Relations (Poland), Diploma in Business (Peru), Diploma in International Management (Germany) and working in internal recruitment for one of the biggest Swiss banks, decided to turn everything upside down and start her journey with external recruitment down under.

Full Stack Developer
After graduating with a History degree, Tim entered the world of recruitment back in 2013, recruiting for engineering development teams across the South East of England. Since late 2016, Tim has been matching some of the best .net developers Sydney has to offer with awesome opportunities.

Laurence is an experienced People and Culture specialist. He is inspired to create optimal working environments that bring the best out of the people who inhabit them. He has over 10 years’ experience building powerful teams in some of Australia’s most well-known brands.

Before entering the world of recruitment, Ben juggled four jobs, a full-time degree in Medical sciences, a young family and seven different community ventures simultaneously. He brings a wealth of experience surrounding relationship development and is focused on forming long term partnerships.
Ben aims for a high degree of professionalism without compromising on empathy or honesty. He specializes in the .NET space in the SustainAbility team alongside Tim and Laurence, and is meticulous about getting it right.
Senior Business & Test Analyst
After graduating university with a degree in Sport Psychology, Rob began his recruitment career in London sourcing pharmaceutical professionals throughout Europe. After building out a new market for 2 years within the niche Regulatory Affairs space, he decided to move to the sunnier shores of Sydney in early 2015. For 3 years Rob headed up our Finance Transformation contract desk supporting a range of SME’s and large corporates during periods of finance change. He now looks after our contract Business Analyst desk sourcing a range of BA’s from functional specialists through to digital subject matter expects for a variety of high profile projects
Project & Change Management
Graduating in 2012, with a Masters in Biomaterial Science and Tissue Engineering (Sheffield, UK), Heather decided to take a completely different path and found herself working and really enjoying her time as a graduate recruitment consultant in the UK. Fast forward from 9 months of travelling and making the move across to Australia, she now has 5 years recruitment experience in the Sydney market. Heather specialises in Project and Change Management roles, across a range of industries, on both a contract and permanent basis.
She is focused and prides herself on building effective partnerships with clients and candidates alike. If you are looking for your next role or wanting to build out a high performing team, Heather would be more than happy to have a chat.
Meet the Accounting & Finance Team
Director – Executive Search Finance & Accounting
After graduating with a Bachelor of Science, Martin entered the recruitment industry in 1997 with Badenoch and Clark, recruiting accounting contract staff for a wide variety of corporate commerce and industry clients in London.
Martin moved to Australia in 1999 and joined Hamilton James and Bruce and was responsible for the management of a number of their Accounting divisions including the Commerce, Financial Services and Government teams. In 2003 he joined Charterhouse Partnership as an Associate Director with the mandate to assist the start-up organisation grow to become a leading recruitment brand within Australia and Asia, before moving on to set up SustainAbility with Peter in 2008.
Senior Finance Transformation Consultant
Scott has been recruiting in the Sydney market since 2011, starting his career with Keegan Adams where he focused on temporary recruitment across a number of industries before moving to accounting specialists West Recruitment where he focused on temporary and permanent roles in the qualified and part-qualified accounting market.
His experience has seen him recruit across all regions of Sydney forging strong relationships with clients and candidates alike. In 2016 Scott continued his career growth and joined SustainAbilty to focus on contract recruitment in the qualified accounting market for the Sydney region.
Julie is a degree qualified accountant whose career commenced in 2014 at BDO, where she completed a cadetship in Private Clients. She then joined Deloitte Private’s Family Enterprise Advisory division, providing taxation and advisory services for small to medium privately owned businesses and high net worth individuals.
After graduating from a Bachelor of Business (Accounting and HR) in 2018, Julie decided to pursue recruitment as she is passionate about connecting finance and accounting professionals to jobs that utilise their strengths and align with their goals.
Commercial & Chartered Accountant
Carl is a well-traveled languages graduate speaking Spanish, Russian and Portuguese, having starting out his recruitment career in London and setting up a finance and accounting division within his company there.
With six years of experience in the recruitment industry, Carl joined SustainAbility in 2018, where he specialises in mid-senior level finance and accounting permanent placements.
Before starting his career in recruitment, Will had been honing his sales and relationship management skills as an Account Manager. This experience developed his passion for helping people and his favourite part of recruitment is developing relationships with candidates to help them find that perfect next role.
Originally from New Zealand, he moved to Sydney to chase the sun and enjoy the beach lifestyle Sydney is famous for. As our first New Zealander, he’s keen to bring his friendly Kiwi personality to the Sydney recruitment market.
