Cloud Platform Engineer

Join a FinTech company who are backed by one of the biggest and most successful businesses in the world as a Cloud Platform Engineer. 

The Role
We've recently acquired a currency exchange platform that has expanded our service offering. We're also in the middle of a huge tech transformation which involves a move to AWS and the build of an exceptional platform for worldwide trading. 

You'll work with other Cloud Platform Engineers to ensure our applications are cloud ready, reliable and scalable 23/7. Our tech stack is AWS, Terraform, Java and Kafka - we welcome technical suggestions, we trust your knowledge as an experienced engineer. 

This is a 6 month rolling contract (paying competitive market rate) opportunity with view to extend or go permanent if you wish. 

You
We're looking for a skilled engineer who loves good quality code and can ensure reliability and scalability 24/7 with AWS services and infrastructure. Our Head of Development is technically hands on, and he's looking to work with someone who can deliver pragmatic solutions to some interesting tech challenges. 
  • You'll have commercial experience with AWS
  • You'll have a background in networking/ infrastructure/ system engineering
  • You'll have excellent scripting ability with either Python/ Bash/ Golang
  • You'll be passionate about implementing DevOps and SDLC best practices
  • You'll have some experience with Kafka/ event driven messaging
