Sales Director - APAC | SaaS | Software | Sydney | $300k+ OTE

As a key leader within the Asia Pacific market your role will be to engage, develop and execute the strategy to achieve revenue and profit objectives for a multi-million-dollar business.
You will be a key part of the Senior Leadership team and take the lead on the entire sales department – you know the numbers, can read the market to develop reliable forecasts and will contribute to the growth plans and create more opportunities that align with corporate goals.
  
JOB SUMMARY:
This Sales Director position is a key hire for my client as they expand across the APAC region. Reporting in to the General Manager for APAC you will be responsible for all Sales operations from the point opportunities first make contact until the final stage of the sales process. You will oversee the entire Sales department and its overall coordination, management & leadership activities which include – Managing 3 Sales Managers who have 14 Sales specialists under them in total.

Core skills that you will need -
  • 15 + years sales experience (SaaS advantageous)
  • Sales experience across the APAC region
  • 5+ years of previous management responsibility
  • Previously responsible for a geographical team of sales reps
  • In-depth knowledge of organisational and business objectives
  • Proven track record of achieving sales growth and delivery of results to company goals
  • Experience in creating, managing and executing revenue-generating programs
  • Personable, charismatic individual with the ability to develop positive, trusting professional relationships with business executives, entrepreneurs, industry leaders, studio owners and other professionals
  • Strong analytical skills, sound business judgment, and high level of initiative, creativity and flexibility
  • Strong project and time management skills, coupled with a high attention to detail and superior multi-tasking abilities
  • Strong decision-making ability – leadership
  • Demonstrated ability to operate in a fast-paced environment, balancing both strategic and tactical responsibilities
  • The ability to lead a team and influence cross-functional teams
  • A strong sense of accountability, ownership and pride in work performed. Self-managing, results-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects and tasks in a dynamic environment.

The role will consist of -
  • Developing effective strategies and programs to ensure that the Companies needs are met and effectiveness is monitored
  • Establishing sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales performance standards for the APAC region; projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products
  • Motivating and energising the team to make proactive decisions in all their communications with clients
  • Being responsible for achieving monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets for assigned region
  • Meeting with sales managers on a monthly basis to assess company performance against KPI’s
  • Maintaining sales volume, product mix, and selling price by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators and competitors
  • Speaking at conferences and events about the company’s products and services
  • Overseeing performance management of under-performing sales team
  • Reviewing existing and creating new incentive programs to motivate and drive sales
  • Approving expenses for all activities under the purview of the Sales Department
  • Overseeing and approving monthly Sales Commissions for entire Sales Team
