The Company

A global heavyweight of big data and big data analysis, they deal with some of the largest retailers in Australia and indeed the world.

The Australian home base is in Rhodes, close to the train station.

The role

You'll be the first point of contact for one of their key clients, when they are experiencing technical issues.

The platform is a complex one technically: it involves Windows servers, VMWare, HyperV, .Net, SQL, Cisco routers & switches, checkpoint firewalls, f5 load balancers, sophisticated data analysis & visualization tools, massive volumes of data ingestion - it's a heavy duty system.

You're not expected to resolve every issue that comes in the door, rather triage the issue and escalate it. You'd also remain the conduit for client updates as the problem is resolved.

So what are we looking for?

Someone who:
  • has 6-12 months solid 1st level support experience
  • An excellent customer service ethic
  • Strong IT underpinnings (either a Degree or a Diploma)
  • Great communication skills (written and verbal)
