Funds Operations Analyst

This role is an incredible chance to join an established and high performing team of analysts who support a number of different teams across the business and the globe including, Portfolio management, distribution, and client servicing teams all in the pursuit of delivering excellent outcomes for their clients.  

Our team in Sydney currently comprises six members supporting various teams including portfolio management, distribution and client servicing teams and working closely with our service providers to deliver excellent outcomes for our clients. The Sydney operations team is part of a global fund operations group with teams based in London, Luxembourg, Tokyo and Vancouver.

Our team covers a diverse range of tasks, including:

What you will be doing 

This role will provide you with an abundance of development opportunities across:  

Fund Accounting, valuations and reconciliations 

Where you can bring your existing technical expertise in Audit, tax, and/or compliance and apply it to fund activities, valuations, financial statement reviews, and fund distribution. 

Trading and Settlements and the financial operations that enable these transactions

Where you will develop your knowledge of cashflow, and financial operations as applied to the process of trading and settlements within the financial services setting. You will work closely with portfolio managers to provide financial analysis, cashflow processing, and financial accounting services 

Client Servicing/Reporting

This won't be unfamiliar to you, but keeping the clients up to date on performance, activity, and building comprehensive reports in response to their requirements and enquiries will build on your client management skills, and help foster your development into a subject matter expert.  

Process enhancement, systems development and internal controls

The never-ending pursuit of perfection, will lead you to automation, compliance and process improvement, and help you build a robust understanding of the best possible internal controls and systems across a heavily regulated industry. You will finally have the chance to influence the business to adopt better processes and systems to eliminate the inefficiencies and create time to focus on the work that you enjoy the most.
